‘A157’ wins Special Jury Prize at Signes de Nuit

TEHRAN, Dec. 07 (MNA) – Behrouz Nouranipour’s war documentary ‘A157’ won the Special Jury Prize at the 14th International Festival Signes de Nuit in France.

The award has been given to the Iranian shocking movie for amazing expression of painful and palpable aspects of reality.

The juries stated "the documentary has been honored to receive the award for the way it has chosen to show the tragedies and consequences of war, without showing war itself, and using painful story of three girls in the middle of war."

A157 has been recently awarded by Library International Film Festival of India and won the Special Jury Award at Iran’s Cinéma Véritére.

It narrates the story of three pregnant girls recounting their stories of war, violence and sexist conquest in a land where people have no more dreams.

French festival was held in Paris, from November 24 to December 4.
